Green, antique aqua, natural, and black wool and rayon yarns are brought together forming a gorgeous diamond pattern throughout this beautiful and bright wool coating fabric. Of a heavier weight and with its soft, textural surface, the wool fabric contains a soft, but thicker drape. Use this beautiful wool blend to create fun fall/winter coats, jackets, ponchos, etc. Although woven on the looser side, this material is nearly completely opaque.

Learn about fabric careHOW TO CARE FOR WOOL FABRICS: Dry-cleaning is recommended, though some wools can take hand washing. Always test a swatch first if you are going to care for your wool fabrics at home rather than using a drycleaner. Many of the fine wools Mood sells online and in-store have already been "sponged," or preshrunk, but you can preshrink your wool if necessary. Mood recommends taking your uncut wool fabric to the drycleaners and asking them to steam it for you, which will safely preshrink it more effectively than you can using home methods. Mood strongly recommends test-laundering a swatch, if you plan to wash your garment or home furnishings yourself.
Love the colors

I usually swatch before purchase, but just had to have this fabric. When I received the order I immediately fell in love with it. The colors are vibrant, yet subtle. This wool/rayon blend should add interest to a simple jacket such as vogue 9133 or 9134.
Rich Color & Super Loft

I love these colors. I bought this tweed along with a chartreuse cotton lycra jersey(FC20340) and a rayon spandex print jersey ( FR25762) in Black/Kiwi/Turquoise/Beige/White. The fabrics are perfect coordinates! This jacquard weave tweed has a lot of dimensionality and loft, but is incredibly soft at the same time. It should tailor nicely and all that loftiness will hide stitching mistakes. I think a 3/4 coat in simple lines to wear with black skirts and trousers would be great. I'm thinking Donna Karan 1263 for the coat and Donna Karan 1259 for the top in the chartreuse jersey. The rayon spandex print jersey will make a great wrapdress or DKNY 1287. Although this is a wool/rayon fabric it very much has the feel of pure lofty wool.
