I had my daughter 30 days ago and I’m officially over the moon happy to be able to work with structured fabric and patterns again and give jersey a much needed break. So what better way to indulge than with my beloved neoprene. If there is one fabric that will completely transform any pattern, it has to be neoprene. I have worked with this fantastic fabric in the past so I know how it responds. But this neoprene from Moodfabrics.com adds a more interesting textural spin with it’s net like overlay and is absolutely perfect! This crop top was made using Vogue V8840 view A with the following alterations:-Removed 13″ from length
-Removed center seam
-Added 1″ to the height of the neck
-Added 2″ to the length of the sleeve
-Removed darts
-Added a 15″ zipper down the back
This pencil skirt was made using a self drafted pattern I previously made with instructions here. Changes made to this pattern:
-Added a 3 1/2″ waist band
-Added a 4″ hem band

Beautiful fabric, use of fabric and outfit. I have not worked with Neoprene yet but this one makes me want to explore. Thank you for showcasing that fabric.
Love the outfit , and I love the vision you had to develop that look.
There is a lot of misinformation here, to put it as politely as I can. Neoprene is a type of synthetic rubber used to make wetsuits. It is NOT polyester. Any fabric that is 100% polyester is 0% neoprene. It worries me that Mood Fabrics describes a fabric so fraudulently.
To start, you look amazing 30 days post-birth. The clothes – gorgeous and beautifully tailored. It looks expensive, classy and classic.
Wow! Neoprene? Who knew? Love your shoe game!
