Cotton Organdy Fabric

Crisp, lightweight and sheer, cotton organdy fabric is similar in characteristic to silk organza. Pronounced twisting of the fibers used in the manufacturing process result in this delightfully moldable plain woven textile. The distinctly crisp body of cotton organdy is achieved through repeated starch presses or by a permanent chemical process. As this material pleats well, it also wrinkles fairly easily but can be starched and ironed without difficulty. Used in crafting projects, curtains and garments, cotton organdy easily adds a touch of classic elegance. Chlorine bleach is not advised for permanently stiff organdy.
