This is a medium weight, dense, double face, wool blend coating.
Learn about fabric careHOW TO CARE FOR WOOL FABRICS: Dry-cleaning is recommended, though some wools can take hand washing. Always test a swatch first if you are going to care for your wool fabrics at home rather than using a drycleaner. Many of the fine wools Mood sells online and in-store have already been "sponged," or preshrunk, but you can preshrink your wool if necessary. Mood recommends taking your uncut wool fabric to the drycleaners and asking them to steam it for you, which will safely preshrink it more effectively than you can using home methods. Mood strongly recommends test-laundering a swatch, if you plan to wash your garment or home furnishings yourself.
A Great Choice

I made the Vogue 1419 Ralph Rucci Coat with this fabric. It's durable and well made. I was told that there's no need to pre-shrink, just steam iron and it's ready be sewn. It's a medium weight cloth that can make an unlined garment if you want because it's double face. I underlined the coat I made, however, for added warmth and longer life. It has a medium drape that is soft in it's own way. By that I mean that it hangs and flows well within the structural elements of the garment. Pics of my completed coat are at my blog: sewcoordinated.wordpress.com so you can see the fabric for yourself. Highly recommended! You won't be sorry.
