HOW TO CARE FOR WOOL FABRICS:
Dry-cleaning is recommended, though some wools can take hand washing. Always test a swatch first if you are going to care for your wool fabrics at home rather than using a drycleaner. Many of the fine wools Mood sells online and in-store have already been "sponged," or preshrunk, but you can preshrink your wool if necessary. Mood recommends taking your uncut wool fabric to the drycleaners and asking them to steam it for you, which will safely preshrink it more effectively than you can using home methods. These care instructions given are for Wool Fabrics in general, however, Mood Fabrics does not accept responsibility for fabrics that are incorrectly laundered/damaged by following these instructions. Customers must test a swatch before laundering any fabrics at home to avoid damaging the goods. |
Black and White Wool Herringbone
Out of stock
Here we have a medium-weight raven black and bright white herringbone woven wool. What makes this fabric so special is that the black yarns are woven like a tweed and the white yarns are not. For those who aren't familiar with the definition of a tweed, it is a rough, unfinished woolen fabric, of a soft, open, flexible texture and the yarns are more closely woven. The white yarns, however, are not as closely woven. With it's nice drape, this fabric could be used as a nice suiting or an interesting coat.
