As some areas are currently being affected by snowstorms and chilling temperatures, I’m here to bring some warm and refreshing news. The new year is fast approaching, and regardless of the world situation, the flowers will bloom, and the sun will shine again, so let’s talk about the colors and fabrics that will represent the S/S 2021 seasons.
Colors of Hope
Illuminating Yellow
As one of the Pantone colors of the year (ultimate gray being the other), this vibrant yellow will be everywhere for reasons beyond its newfound title. This color is friendly, inviting, and joyful.

Green Ash
A cool take on the sage green from spring/summer 2020. Green ash is a refreshing nod to the outdoors, with an overall vibe reminiscent of greenery and other nature-like activities.

Cerulean
Blue is a color favorite among fashion wearers, so any take on it is welcomed with open arms. It’s a light blue shade that looks like a clear sky on a Cerulean mountain. Bonus: it pairs nicely with green ash giving rejuvenating and refreshing vibes that we all look forward to during the warmer months.

Fabrics Fit for All
Shirting
Shirting is practical, versatile, and easy to implement into most wardrobes. It’s also perfect for creating casual workwear pieces ideal for zoom calls or socially distanced meetings when it’s safe to do so.

Spring Knits
Everyone wants to hold tight to their cozy duds, making this fabric trend for spring a homerun. With silhouettes suitable for spring, perfectly combined with the fabrics of winter, spring knits are a home run. Knits in a vest, cropped polo, or short-sleeved variety will keep you cozy while still being warm weather friendly. For cooler spring days, consider adding a denim jacket made in your favorite style, whether it’s over-sized, cropped, or a mixture of both!

Bring on the new year and a new season full of fun colors and lots of fun fabrics for your spring/summer wardrobe- no matter what takes place in the upcoming months. I’m looking forward to bright colors and pieces that are as structured (or not) as I want them to be.
Which colors and fabrics do you think you’ll be reaching for the most this S/S?
I like the green ash the most, but the blue will fit my skin the best. For the fabrics I want more sheers and lace in my Wardrobe .
Thanks for the photo’s and ideas you bring with this article Stephanie.
We all need yellow!
Uggg, I hate pastels and cannot wear them. I have a weird skin color that has clay-ish-pinkish,-beige. I just look washed out and large in pastels. It’s one reason I hate spring. All the clothes are so uninteresting colors to me.
