Aralia Shawl
It’s been a year since Mood launched their free sewing patterns! We’re coming up on 100, so I figured I’d redo one of the original garments: the Aralia Shawl. It’s the perfect fall layering piece, with cozy jersey sleeves and a flowing silhouette! This piece pairs perfectly with skinny jeans and a bodysuit for picking pumpkins, or over a little black dress for going to a concert or grabbing drinks with a friend.

Guess who’s back…

Back again…
I wanted an Aralia Shawl similar to the original that Courtney wore, so I utilized the Black and Brown Paisley Burn-Out Velvet to make a witchy fall statement piece. Plus I’ve lost roughly 60lbs, and although the Aralia Shawl is one size fits all, I made my arms a little slimmer than the last one!

It’s the Aralia Shawl
This burnout was a little slippery, but with enough pins, you can sew anything! I love the way the trim looks on the bottom, and I love the longer look of this one as compared to my old Aralia shawl.
