All seam allowances are 1/2″ unless otherwise stated.

Pleated Face Mask Instructions:

Step 1: Sew your interfacing to the wrong sides of your main fabric pieces.

Step 2: Now that both of the main fabric pieces have been interfaced, pin your elastic to each corner and set them in place with a basting stitch.

Step 3: Now, with right sides together pin and sew the front of the mask to the facing or lining sandwiching the elastic in between. Leave a small 2” opening at the bottom to turn the mask right side out.

Step 4: Pull mask through the bottom opening turning it right side out. Gently pull the elastic at the corners to adjust the straps. Press and complete the stitch along the bottom edge to close the opening.

Step 5: Make 3 small pleats in the center of the mask, all following the same direction. Pin each pleat in place then sew. Extend mask to fit over nose and mouth.

Contour Face Mask Instructions:

Step 1: Sew your woven interfacing to the wrong sides of your main fabric pieces. Set the 2 remaining facing pieces aside for now.

Step 2: Now that both of the main fabric pieces have been interfaced, pin them together at center front, right sides together and sew.

Step 3: Clip into the center the front curve to reduce bulk. Now, assemble your facing/lining the same way.

Step 4: Next, with the right sides together, pin your facing/lining to the mask front and sew along the top and sides. Leave a small opening in the bottom to turn the mask. Turn the mask right side out, and stitch the opening closed.

Step 5: Fold the edges in about 1/2” and stitch them down creating a casing. Use a safety pin or loop turner to pull the elastic through. Stitch the ends of the elastic together forming the straps. Adjust straps so the sewn edges of the elastic is concealed.

Drawstring Bag Instructions:

Step 1: lay fabric face down with the lengthwise edges along the top and bottom. Fold in each side 3/8” and press. Stitch the folded edge in place.

Step 2: Now fold in the remaining edges 3/8” and press to hold the folds in place.

Step 3: Now, now fold the edges over once more, press and stitch to hold in place. This will create the casing for your drawstring.

Step 4: With the right sides of the fabric together, fold the pouch in half. Turn the pouch so the casing ends are at the top. Make sure the ends are aligned and press.

Step 5: Start at the top right below the casing, and stitch along both sides. Make sure to back stitch at the beginning and end. Turn pouch and pull cord through the casing using a safety pin or loop turner.
