I love fall fashion more than any other season. From luscious velour to cozy wool coatings, it makes me want to stroll through the crisp leaves with a steaming cup of coffee – I cannot wait! For this seasonal look, I paired two of Mood’s free sewing patterns for an outfit that I can easily transition into winter. For the Aster Pants, I made no alterations to the pattern itself, but this time around I did use a contrast for the belt loops. Rather than keep them crepe, I opted for a lovely fashion-weight faux leather that’s available in a variety of colors. The brown is a lovely subtle pop along the waistband, and I love it for fall!
The Iris Bodysuit only had one alteration – the sleeves. I’m not quite ready for full-length velour sleeves yet, so I chose to chop the sleeve pattern just a bit. From the center shoulder seam notch to the hem, my new sleeve measured 8″ and then I added regular seam allowance.

Hi! I love these, but clarification question: did you use 3 yards or the original 5 yards for the long pants? I just wanna make sure I get enough fabric! Also, how much stretch is on them? Would plain cotton work?
Hi Gabby! I only used three this time around because I didn’t need to match any stripes and the print was going in a different direction. Also, stretch isn’t actually necessary – the crepe I used just has a nice bit of give that makes it super comfy, but regular cotton would work well too!

Thank you❤️
Thank you for free patterns
Thank you
You could add circle skirt-like flounces to the bottom legs of the body suit for extra flair
Hermosos geometrales!!!!
me encanta!
Could they be hacked for an elastic? Instread of the zipper and button.
Hi Lau, I’m sorry for the late response, but I wanted to answer your question anyway! You could add elastic, but if you’re using a non stretch fabric then you’d need to omit the pleats. The thing you want to be absolutely sure of, is that you can get the waist over your hips. So for a woven fabric, I’d use my hip measurement as the waist on our size chart.
