When it comes to the latest in style and trend, Mood Designer Fabrics is always on point! Conversational prints are definitely on trend. Not only for adults, but for children’s wear as well.
Seriously, how cute is this cookie printed neoprene? Everyone loves chocolate chip cookies!
My daughter flipped when she saw this fabric and just knew I was making something for her.
What better way to express your personal style than with a cookie bomber jacket? This was a perfect piece to add to her transitioning back-to-school wardrobe.
Not only is this print super cute and fun, the fabric was also very easy to work with. I actually love working with neoprene. It doesn’t fray like most fabrics, and it has a very smooth and soft hand.
The contrasting gray and white striped knit trim was an excellent choice to finish the look.
My daughter LOVES her jacket, and we are so excited to share this with you! Enjoy.
Here’s what I used:
- Jacket Pattern: Simplicity Girls’ Bomber Jacket 8429 style D. Follow pattern as is (Jordyn is wearing a size 6).
- Fabric: 1.5 yds Chocolate Chip Cookie Digitally Printed Stretch Neoprene
- Trim: Light Gray Striped Acrylic Rib Knit (Dark Gray also available online)
- Zipper: Brown Regular Separating zipper- 13.5”

This is precious! What a great use of the fabric for a one of a kind jacket. thanks for the inspiration. I love these bomber jackets and had recently picked up a pattern for one-not knowing what I’d use for the fabric to make it different from what could be found in any ol’ store.
And your daughter is rocking it!
Hi Jeanne! I’m so glad this post has inspired you! I wish you luck with your next project. And feel free to send pics! I would love to see your work! Thanks! Happy sewing!
Love the jacket? Adorable little model! I’m interested in making bomber jackets for my sons. I’ve never worked with neoprene before but you make it sound very simple. I was sold when you said it doesn’t fray. Did you use pins or clips for this fabric?
Hi Shandreka! Thank you so much! Yes, neoprene is really easy to work with. Especially the lighter weight neoprene like the cookie print. I did use pins for this project. I plan to make one for my son as well! I would love to see the jackets when they’re done! 🙂
Great jacket! Absolutely love it
my grandbaby gonna love this
