I was perusing the Mood website when I decided to flick through their Designer tab, and lo and behold, it’s fabric gold! Not only are there a variety of fun fabrics and classic designers, they’re all at a great price point. Thank you, Mood! I decided to go through five of the best selling designers that Mood has to offer, and find some inspiration from their collections.
Roberto Cavalli
Roberto Cavalli is an Italian fashion house with a long history of quality and luxury. They began with a floral knit, and continued to innovate, coming up with new techniques for printing on leather and creating mesmerizing patchwork designs. Roberto Cavalli continues to be a powerhouse in the fashion world, maintaining a reputation for excellence and taste.

Roberto Cavalli | Fall 2017 Ready-to-Wear
This entire ensemble from Roberto Cavalli’s stunning Fall 2017 collection is so powerful. From the longer than life trousers to the casual corset, it screams mogul meets fashionista. If I were to recreate this outfit, I’d absolutely use Mood’s Cavalli Italian Gold Cotton Sateen for the trousers. This cotton sateen is nice and stiff, so those pants stay powerful, and the gold tone is understated enough to let the silhouette speak.

Roberto Cavalli | Fall 2017 Ready-to-Wear
While I love this dress from Roberto Cavalli, I think I’d make it a casual romper! Perfect for a brunch in the city, or just dressing up nice for work on a day when I need a boost of self-confidence and sophistication. There’s no better way to recreate this look than with Mood’s Cavalli White Novelty Embroidered Netting. And, for a soft pop of color, I’d probably use a pale purple as the lining.

Roberto Cavalli | Pre-Fall 2018
I absolutely love the pleats in these pants! But, when it comes to suits, I like a fitted blazer and wide leg trousers to accentuate my figure. Mood’s Cavalli Italian Black Cotton Sateen is perfect for that! Although it isn’t a suiting, it’s durable and soft, with a stiff drape, ideal for a beautiful new suit. I’d keep the pleat and throw in a flare for a totally chic ensemble.

Rag & Bone
Although named after the English “rag-and-bone” man, who would scavenge unwanted materials and sell them to merchants, Marcus Wainwright and David Neville have created a brand anything but unwanted. This consciously cool and modestly modern brand is a favorite of A-list celebrities, and utilizes classic men’s tailoring for both men’s and women’s fashion.

Rag & Bone | Pre-Fall 2018
I love of good pair of overalls! From seaside picnics to casual garden parties, overalls are ideal for looking cute, comfortable, and devil-may-care. As I’ve mentioned before, though, I am a sucker for wide leg pants. Mood’s Rag & Bone Black/White Chalk Striped Cotton Dobby Jacquard is the perfect stiffness to pull off some wide leg overalls. Not only will this fabric hold form, it’s very durable, so I can even garden in your chic overalls! Or, at least read some gardening books in the sun.

Rag & Bone | Resort 2018
Sheer is in! It is everywhere, over or under other layers, standing by itself, layered over itself! Designers cannot stop with the sheer. This Rag & Bone and dress is right on trend, thrown over a classic tank dress and paired with adorable booties! I don’t have nearly enough mesh, so I’d utilize Mood’s Rag & Bone Black Polyester Netting. Paired with a gold tank dress and some red stilettos, I’m ready for a bumpin’ party at a beach-side bungalow.

Rag & Bone | Spring 2018 Ready-to-Wear
It’s all about the detachable buttons for me on this one. I love being able to control how off-the-shoulder I get with my outfits. I’m also totally obsessed with a good sweater dress, which is what I would do to revamp this Rag & Bone Spring 2018 look. With Mood’s Rag & Bone Total Eclipse Cotton French Terry by my side, I’m gonna take the athleisure trend in stride and look super sharp while staying completely comfortable.

Ralph Lauren
What is quintessential Ralph Lauren? Cowboys, flappers, equestrians, safaris, and sailing! The epitome of upper-class, Ralph Lauren found inspiration from the United States landscape and the American Dream. When it comes to Ralph Lauren, there’s a story in every silhouette, and theatrics in every thread.

Ralph Lauren | Fall 2018 Ready-to-Wear
I’m a sucker for shine, but when it comes to this Ralph Lauren blazer, I’d love to see a more matte creation. I don’t have the complexion for such a ravishing red, so I’d definitely utilize Mood’s Ralph Lauren Matte Festival Fuchsia Rayon Woven. I love the texture and drape of this stunning fabric. Add some golden lapels and I’ll be painting the town pinkish purple!

Ralph Lauren | Fall 2018 Ready-to-Wear
This utilitarian-esque jumpSUIT by Ralph Lauren is absolutely stunning. When it comes to professional suiting, I lean towards darker colors, so I’d want to use Mood’s Ralph Lauren Dark Gray/Black Houndstooth Italian Wool. This fabric has beautiful pattern, and it is thin and light, so it will wear like a dream.

Ralph Lauren | Pre-Fall 2018
This cape! Oh I could go on and on about this cape, except I have nothing in my wardrobe that would match it. How will I ever get around that issue? With Mood’s Ralph Lauren Multi Beige Solid Coating, of course! This extremely soft coating is perfect for winter wonderlands and fall festivals. With gold accents, I could match this coat with every garment I own.

Sea NY
Sea NY is designed and sold in the loft of the owners, Monica Paolini and Sean Monahan. Friends turned business partners, the two work together to create beautiful collections that are both polished and fun. The Sea shopper? She’s a working, traveling, honest woman, ready to wear Sea NY around the world.

Sea | Pre-Fall 2018
I’m all about the peasant dress! Boho is totally chic, and this Sea dress checks almost all of the boxes. But personally, I love a good bell sleeve. Mood’s Sea NY Blue and Dusty Rose Geometric Rayon Print is perfect for my bohemian dreams! Plus, it’s slightly translucent, so I can hop on that sheer trend. I could see myself using this fabric as the main event, or even as the paneling on this dress.

Sea | Spring 2018 Ready-to-Wear
Everyone loves a ruffle, and clearly Sea is a people pleaser. I love this ruffled top, but I’m all about fruit patterns, which is why I adore this Sea NY Navy and Ivory Pineapple Printed Linen Woven. This fabric is slightly stiffer than the Spring 2018 blouse, although it has a lovely texture and it is oh so soft, which means it will hold the ruffle well and would make a beautiful jumpsuit! Enjoy the summer breeze with ease in this wonderful Sea NY fabric.

Sea | Resort 2018
Although this Sea dress is stunning, I prefer casual dresses. This fabric looks so stiff, I’d rather use Mood’s Sea NY Egret Cotton Blended Woven with Ribs. It’s incredibly soft and just a little bit sheer, so I’d wear a pink slip underneath and hit up some block parties in my one-of-a-kind Sea NY dress.

Theory
Modern and minimalist, Theory is not your common collection. Theory successfully combines luxury with a polished look, showing that to live lavishly does not mean to live in excess. Embrace Theory’s minimalist outlook, or let their aesthetic inspire your own creativity.

Theory | Resort 2018
This funky dress combines professionalism and posh to create the most beautiful dress. I want to walk through big business halls in this dress, paired with some chunky gold wedges and huge hoop earrings. Mood’s Theory Black Wool Suiting Fabric is perfect for this piece! With a little bit of texture and give, this fabric will hug your curves and stare down your business adversaries.

Theory | Spring 2018 Ready-to-Wear
Who doesn’t love a good trench? Literally no one; everyone likes a good trench coat. They’re amazing. This lovely piece by Theory is just a little too light for outerwear, but Mood’s Theory Pebble Beige Heavy Cotton Twill is the perfect color to keep clean this season. Whether stuck in April showers, or beating the fall chill, a trench made from this sturdy material will keep you warm and dry.

Theory | Spring 2018 Ready-to-Wear
This Theory tunic and pant set looks so luxurious, I want to lounge about in the garden of Versailles, reading books about Marie Antoinette while I eat cake and wonder how much better life can get. As an Irish girl, I love a good green, so I would want to recreate this look with Mood’s Theory Holly Green Polyester Crepe de Chine. This gorgeous green is the color of ivy crawling up a solitude cottage, perfect for spending the Spring at cocktail parties or dining at chic bistros. I might even make the tunic a little longer and simply turn it into a dress.
