I don’t know about you all but I cannot get enough of the color, Mustard for fall. Mood Fabrics’ has the perfect Mustard for Fall, Mustard Tencel Twill and it was a dream to sew.
This tencel has the best drape and works perfectly for a dressier blouse and in my case Butterick 5526 was the perfect pattern choice. I love the front pockets, the pleats on the pocket which just adds a bit more to the blouse. The tencel does come in seven other colors so you can get the look you want for fall or any other time.
I have made this blouse a few times and I like how it is a more fitted option, especially compared to the Archer Blouse (which I have made so many times). The shoulders are spot on for me, after making this one, I went back to my pattern and did a FBA of about 1/2″ . The blouse has one inch added to the length and one inch to the sleeves.
This fabric does fray easily, so have the serger ready for the seam finish. It took a couple of nights to construct this blouse and I used a new foot on my Pfaff to sew on the buttons. Oh, that was amazing, it took me about 10 minutes to sew on all those buttons.
I am trying to really style my newly made garments with several options in my closet, I have two garments from Mood Sewing Network previous makes and a RTW long cardigan.
I thought I would share these, my Tweed Moto Jacket, made from a wool tweed and McCall’s 7694
Then my stripe knit using a Fulton Blazer in this original Mood Sewing Network Post
Finally, the RTW cardigan:
I had so much fun making this blouse and fun taking photos, too. So hurry and go get some of this fabric, it is so good!

Love your new shirt. I’ve got to get some of the tencel twill. Your styling options are spot on. Looking good lady.
