Fall fashion month is quickly approaching, and I for one am nearly falling out of my seat with anticipation. After scouring the resort and fall collections that have come out this year, predictions can finally be made about Spring 2019. Will pastels play a part, will off-season fur be fashionable? Let’s take a look at the seasons we’ve seen this past year, and what we can expect to see on the runway this fall.
Blazer Dress
The blazer dress, part fashion, part function, all fun. Alexander Wang’s Spring 2019 show featured a lot of business attire blended with heavy metal overtones, and this blazer dress is no different. Ralph Lauren went with a sleek and smooth look, while Versace went a little wild with prints and accessories.

Geometric Prints
Geometric prints are eye-catching and energetic, ideal for simple silhouettes. Alice+Olivia blends several patterns with their geometric print, while Batsheva focused on folksy hexagons. Fendi’s funky dress featured little “F’s” that created boxes, a super cute way to work in their branding.

Prairie Style
This style has been working it’s way up for awhile, a blend of Santa Fe prints and Prairie girl silhouettes. Batsheva’s lovely mint piece features a small folksy floral. Creatures of Comfort and Fendi showed similar dresses, with little crescents of light blooming on the fabric.

Stonewashed Denim
Stonewashed denim is simply denim that’s been manufactured to look worn using a variety of techniques. Marissa Webb’s light blue jeans feature a button up instead of a zipper, and Re/Done shows a denim jacket over a denim crop top over a button up, a lovely look at layering. MSGM’s dark denim suit is paired beautifully with a fruit-printed button up.
