The Forrest Jumpsuit pattern has quickly become one of my all-time favorites! Patterns that have detailed construction and clean lines are always great for hacking. To change up this pattern, I added an easy zip front and convenient front patch pockets. Best of all, it’s made from Mood Fabrics’ beautiful Indigo Cotton Dobby Denim! This medium-weight denim is durable and works great for this utility-style ensemble. The chic puff sleeves and belted waist make styling a breeze. Rock your jumpsuit with heels or with sneakers for a more casual look. Cotton twill or cotton canvas would work great as an alternative option. You could even try your hand with faux leather for a stunning look!

As always, I would suggest that you make a muslin to determine your size and the best fit for you. For my jumpsuit, I cut a size 8/10. Keep in mind that this denim is very sturdy, but does not have stretch. I pre-washed my fabric before cutting to preshrink and check for colorfastness. If you desire a more relaxed fit, I would suggest going up 1 size, and make adjustments accordingly.

Superb job Shavonne – very pleasing to see grit and creativity put to work! Quality of craftsmanship, combined with great fabric are distinctive in this piece (including comparisons to luxury designer wear).
I have been obsessed and finding a coverall/boilersuit/jumsuit to make this is perfect! Thank u so much!

Hi I’m just in the process of making this fabulous jumpsuit. Do you remove to placket section to install a zipper? 🙂 Many thanks Emma
Hi there! Yes, remove the placket! 🙂
Is there a way to get the finished garment size chart for this pattern?
Hi Janie! We’re sorry for the delay in responding to your question! We get dozens of comments and questions each day, and so many questions get buried and, unfortunately, unanswered. We are now focusing user support on patterns 2 years and newer. We hope this will prevent questions on our more current patterns from going unanswered. Although this is late, we wanted to respond in case anyone else has the same question: Our older patterns unfortunately don’t have finished garment measurements. But use our size chart to find your size, and then take a few quick measurements of the pattern to determine your desired ease.
