Lingerie has been an important part of fashion for decades. In today’s world, it’s being worn in a different way, especially in 2022. Most people think lingerie is only meant to be worn underneath your clothes or just for that special time for that certain someone. Now people are wearing lingerie in various ways on top of clothes, or by themselves. The types that are being worn are bralettes, corsets, slip dresses, and even voluminous robes with feathers.
To hack your own Fleur Robe as we did, simply draw an arc with a French curve a few inches up from the original hem on your pattern pieces (both the front and back, as well as the sleeve). Split your pattern along the line and add your seam allowance. Now, cut the top portions from your main fabric and the new bottom portions from your lace!

Eco fabrics are playing a major role in fashion right now. Many brands are attempting to reduce their carbon footprint by using organic materials or recycled ones. That being said, the staple fabrics are still here like lace, silk, satin, and cotton. Some additional materials that are popping up for the Y2K fashion moments are feathers and faux fur.
Corsets, Bustiers, & Bralettes
In 2022 everyone is wearing corsets and bralettes as their tops and pairing them with an item that they already own, like skirts, shorts, and pants. If one isn’t as comfortable for being exposed another fashion tip is to wear a lightweight shirt underneath to get the same look! The exposed look will be extremely popular in spring and summer, especially when the heat waves start.
