As we all sit at home practicing social distancing during this COVID-19 outbreak, many weddings and other social events are (heartrendingly) being postponed. However, we’re looking toward a bright summer when this is all past us and we can resume festivities – with the best wardrobe, of course! Here are a few of our favorite patterns that can be sewn as you work your way through self-isolation during these next few weeks. For these two outfit above, I used a few of Mood’s quickest patterns. The top image features our somewhat new Cunilla Skirt in one of Mood’s luxurious new satin options. This stuff is so gorgeous and lovely to work with, that you’d never guess it’s polyester!

The lower image features a pattern favorite of mine, perfect for casual weddings! The Nyssa Dress can be made in a variety of fabrics to suit most dress codes, and it looks fabulous in any size.

Black Tie is typically reserved for nighttime events. Attire typically consists of full-length dresses with a simple silhouette and elevated cocktail dresses.

Either formal or cocktail attire would be appropriate. We recommend gowns, cocktail dresses, jumpsuits, or skirts that can easily be dressed up or down.

Stick to semi-formal attire such as tea-length dress or skirts.

These events are often outdoors or at the beach. Think brunch attire such as sundresses, jumpsuits, or a skirt and top.
