Each and every one of you has a unique imagination that needs to be expressed more often. If you plan to go to an EDC concert, fashion event, or festival, express it through this method: we’re taking the Y2K trend and tackling it with a few of Mood’s simple free sewing patterns.

• 1 yard Mood Exclusive Down the Rabbit Hole Cotton Voile
• 1 yard Mood Exclusive Blue Jay Waves Cotton Voile

Pretend you’re on Project Runway, and your challenge is to come up with an outfit to appear at an event, and you have to use whatever fabrics you have in storage! Start by picking out basic patterns, such as the Maple Culottes and the Saffron Top. Find two fabrics, preferably at least 1 print or both.

Decide if you want to take it upon yourself to make new seam lines, enhance any areas to add volume, etc. Strategically determine how you want to utilize the fabric. On the Saffron Top, a traditional route was taken, using one of the prints as a base and the other as an applique. Meanwhile the Maple Culottes to an abstract approach. For pockets, be creative and make figures as shown.

Overall you should be able to complete this entire project in a day. Since its basic pattern, your only focus will be fabric placing and anything creative that you throw its way.
