Nothing says elegance quite like silk charmeuse. It’s lightweight, fluid, and just begging to be made into a slinky dress. If you’ve never worked with it before, a dress may be a bit intimidating for such a high-end fabric. Instead, try starting with a chic summer top! Our Luna Jumpsuit can be easily hacked into a gorgeous tank top with nearly no pattern alterations, making it the perfect option for Mood’s stunning Italian silks. Let’s take a look at how to do it!

Purchase Materials Used Below:
- 1 yard Italian Yellow, Pink, and Teal Geometric Abstraction Silk Charmeuse or Italian Seafoam, Purple and Yellow Bold Naturals Silk
- MDF296 – The Luna Jumpsuit Sewing Pattern (free download below!)
Alternative Recommended Fabrics:

This pattern hack is one of the simplest out there – simply cut and sew the bodice of the Luna Jumpsuit!
If desired, you can also add 6″ to the length as I did for the non-cropped option shown above. If choosing this option, you may want to flare outwards at the waist 1″-2″ to accommodate your hips, but it’s not necessarily required!
This hack would also work as PJ’s or Nightdress.
Vraiment un super modèle de couture
Merci beaucoup, nous espérons que vous apprécierez ! Bonne couture !
Me encanta
Hello how would I receive it I speak English
Hi Angela, we’re sorry for the delay in responding to your question! We get dozens of comments and questions each day, and so many questions get buried and, unfortunately, unanswered. We are now focusing user support on patterns 2 years and newer. We hope this will prevent questions on our more current patterns from going unanswered. Although this is late, we wanted to respond in case anyone else has the same question: the download link is right under the purchased materials & alternative fabrics list! Once you fill out that link, an email will come with your pattern ready for download 🙂
