My last few weeks have been filled with an obsession with vintage patterns. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you will see my stock pile of patterns I found on Craigslist, in addition to my awesome FB follower Melanie that passed on her late aunts patterns to me #grateful.
The clean lines of vintage patterns have always been my favorite which I plan to incorporate into my own patterns when they launch this spring.
This dress was made with vintage Vogue 2235 with the following pattern alterations:
-Added a gathered shoulder
-Added slits at the wrist
When it came to selecting a fabric for this dress, I wanted a wool suiting with a bit of stretch and this wool at Moodfabrics.com was perfect. It’s a heavy weight suiting that cuts, sews, drapes and irons nicely.
