*Note- The Sunday Morning Jumper is a loose-fitting pattern with a lot of ease for comfort. This project was made with French terry for a cozy feel, but can be made in a variety of fabrics such as jersey, wool, satin, or denim.

Step 2
Pin the back of the garment to the front, sew the side seam on both sides, starting from the top by the armhole and down to the bottom of the leg.
Step 3
Once the side seams are sewn closed, sew the front and back together at the inseam. Start from one side of the pant leg, over and around the crotch area, then back down the other pant leg.

Step 4
To create basic shoulder straps, draft the pattern piece by measuring 10″ long x 1.5″ wide (for size 4). With right sides together, sew this piece with 3/8″ seam allowance, then trim away the excess fabric without cutting into the stitch line.
Step 5
Use a loop turner to turn the shoulder strap outward.
*For adjustable straps, follow the illustration below and use metal sliders to adjust the length and find the perfect fit.

Step 6
To add pockets, first mark and press the seam allowance around the pocket pieces. Before sewing them onto the garment, top stitch all around the pocket 1/4″ (from the raw edge) to keep the seam allowance in place.
Step 7
Pin the pockets onto the garment, then top stitch around the edges while leaving the top open.

Step 8
Complete this project by finishing all the raw edges around the garment. Some options for this would include sewing a rolled hem, or using an overlock stitch around the edges and sewing the hem with 1/2″ seam allowance.

Hi! Can we make this with a non-stretch fabric like print cotton? Understand it would be a tad stiff lol
Hi Jordann, you can totally make this with a non-stretch fabric!
What are all the fabric requirements for various sizes?
Hi Debbie, Our newer patterns have estimations, which are located in the Shop This Look box in the top right corner. We tend to err on the side of caution with our estimations, to account for directional prints and/or mistakes. For more exact yardage estimates, we suggest measuring your pattern.
I ordered 2 yards for medium size. It turns out to need 4 yards of fabric. Very disappointed.
Hello!
Thank you for visiting and downloading from Mood Sewciety!
We aim to offer you the best guidance possible, although there may be some approximations in our free sewing patterns to maintain their accessibility. We recommend printing out the pattern and assembling it to fit your size. By aligning the pattern pieces according to the grain lines, you can estimate the required yardage for your specific size with greater accuracy.

If using a non stretch fabric should you size up for a similar fit?
Hi Natalie, this pattern can be made with non-stretch fabric (we suggested Denim). Since this pattern is designed to be loose-fitting with a lot of ease, you won’t need to size up. We recommend checking the finished garment measurements as well as making a muslin first, to ensure the proper fit.
Ack! So cute!!
Right! We love the pattern here at Mood Sewciety !
Can’t wait to make this jumpsuit. Too cut. I love it
We’re so glad you like the pattern Glenda! Happy sewing 🙂
Hello, would it be possible to make patterns in A0 available? To cut and paste A4 patterns is so time-consuming and having it printed in A0 in a printshop is quicker and cleaner (you’ve never seen me with scissors and glue!!), isn’t it? I would be so grateful.
Hi Alexia, in order to keep our patterns free, we only offer our patterns in US Letter and A4 format.
I’ll pay for an A0 pattern.
How long would this prodject take as an estimate?
Can’t wait to make this! Adorable!
Happy Sewing 🙂
Bonjour et merci pour ce chouette patron.
Je ne suis pas très à l’aise avec les tailles anglaises. Pour un 45, vous me conseillez quelle taille ?
merci d’avance pour votre réponse
Dominique
Bonjour, pour la taille 45 EU nous recommandons la taille 14 us
Can this be made for plus size?
Yes, this free sewing pattern includes a size range of 00-32.
Thanks for the little “size key” on the pocket piece. I was looking at the lines and scratching my head lol
You’re welcome Holly! Happy sewing 🙂
I dont have a ring and slide to make the straps adjustable. I assume I could make them fixed?
Hi Linda, you can! In this version sewn here, the straps are fixed.
Do your patterns have layers so that you can eliminate all the other size lines?
Hi Pam, at this time we unfortunately cannot offer layers in our free patterns 🙁
Do you think adding layers sometime in the near future?
Hello,
Thank you for visiting and downloading from Mood Sewciety!
In order to keep our free sewing patterns free, we are exclusively offering an A4-Letter size version that includes all sizes. We appreciate your request and will keep it in mind for future patterns.

Hi! Just wondering if I have a two way stretch, should I cut my straps so they don’t stretch?
Hi, how are strapped attached to the romper? Should I finish the edges and then attach?
Thank you!
Pin the straps as you finish the edges simultaneously.
So slay!
Thanks for the pattern! I made this in Purple Blue Lightweight Stretch Cotton and Modal Ultra Soft French Terry and received a ton of compliments on it when I wore it to a get together. Very easy to sew with the instructions and pattern. Might make another one sometime, very cute! 🙂
I just made these! This is such a fun project as they are easy to sew and amazingly comfortable. Genuinely tried them on when I finished sewing them and did not take them off for the rest of the day.
Thanks for the free pattern! Would love layers so we could save on paper waste!!
Me too….I have decided holding off sewing this pattern. All of the lines of the pattern (for the different sizes) has me over-whelmed. It’s always so confusing.
Hello,
Thank you for visiting and downloading from Mood Sewciety!
Our advice for printing, cutting, and taping our newer patterns is as follows, and should be applicable to our older patterns as well.
Trimless Option: This is the fastest! No trimming needed!
Place left-side margins over right-side margins, overlapping dashed lines and dots.
In the same fashion, top margins will overlap bottom margins.
Slight unprinted gaps are normal for this method.
Trimmed Option: This removes any unprinted gaps.
Trim along the top and right margins at the dashed lines.
Overlap the trimmed margins to the untrimmed margins, matching dashed lines and dots.
Tip! Build rows first, then join the rows together as you go.
Happy Sewing!

Hi! I can’t wait to get started on this piece! I often have issues of jumsuits fitting as I stand, but not when I sit (too tight around groin), how can I make sure this pattern works for me? How can I modify it if needed?
Hello, this pattern is made with plenty of ease so you shouldn’t have this type of problem
hi 🙂 thanks for the pattern, I am wondering how to finish off the raw edges when using woven fabric such as double gaze? it would be best to make a facing?
Hello, using a facing is a good option for finishing raw edges. Other options can be to sew French seams, use pinking shears, or finish with a serger/overlock stitch.
hi, what type of finish do you recommend for woven fabrics such as double gaze or poplin?
Hello, a French seam would be a really good way to finish these types of fabrics.
OUt of curiosity can we serge the seams or would sewing be more recommended?
Serging the seams is recommended to secure the seams for durability.
Problems with downloading. It seems not all of the pattern will download. For example on 1st page, only part of the size chart shows up. I’ve tried to download it twice with the same result both times.
Hello, Please email info@moodfabrics.com for any issues with pattern downloads.
I was able to get the instructions but not the pattern. No matter how many times I download. Any tips?
Hello, please email info@moodfabrics.com for any issues with downloading patterns.
If I use a woven fabric instead of a stretch, do I need to size up?
Yes, we recommend going a up a size if you are using a fabric without stretch.
Hello, do your loose cuts already have seam allowances? Thank you
Yes, the patterns that Mood have to offer already include 1/2 inch seam allowance.
