We’ll be sharing tips on fabric options throughout this week, and Shavonne will walk each of us through the sewing steps starting 3/16! All seam allowances are 1/2″ unless otherwise stated. See chart below for sizing specifications. Note, this specific pattern is available up to a size 30.

Do you think a crepe back satin would work for yardage? I’m assuming it would just create a drapey-er sleeve, rather than the nice puffy one?

Yes, this could be gorgeous for a graduation! My only concern would be the volume of the sleeves under a graduation gown.

Hi Aurora! I think this would work with a stretch velvet but I would consider sizing down. You might need to add interfacing for any structured elements in the pattern. Good luck! 🙂
