The Poinsettia Dress was released as a show-stopping holiday pattern last winter, but we’re pulling it into summer with some gorgeous new additions this season. With a little hook & eye tape, the newest iteration of this free sewing pattern is three looks in one. Add some fringe to the hem for a boho chic vibe, or try a lace mermaid skirt for a casual wedding dress. However you choose to style the bottom, it’s easily removable so you can dance the night away in comfort and style!

For this redux, nothing changed as far as the actual dress construction, so I followed the original instructions right up until I was ready to hem!

Since the optional skirt additions were meant to be interchangeable, I simply sewed some hook & eye tape inside the bottom of the dress as I hemmed it. The eye portion of the tape went on the skirt, while the hooks were added to each skirt.
