Step into your next power meeting wearing the Ravenna Suit, a sharp two-piece ensemble designed for those who appreciate high fashion and timeless tailoring. This free sewing pattern features a blazer with a notch lapel, welt pockets, button closure, and full lining, paired with straight-fit tailored pants complete with a fly front zipper, side seam pockets, back welt pockets, and a structured waistband with belt loops. Perfect for sewists who love structured silhouettes and classic style, this pattern lets you create a suit that radiates confidence and sophistication.
Made from premium Super 120 Merino wool suiting from the Finn collection and lined with sumptuous Bemberg, the Ravenna Suit strikes the perfect balance between comfort and elegance. Wool suiting is prized for its durability, breathability, and polished finish, making it an excellent choice for professional attire. Bemberg lining elevates the drape and ensures a silky-smooth feel against the skin. While wool suiting offers a structured, refined look, you can experiment with other fabrics for different effects. Cotton twill delivers durability and a crisp finish, while polyester suiting is an affordable, wrinkle-resistant alternative with a smooth drape.
The beauty of a well-tailored suit lies in its versatility. Wear it with a crisp button-up, sleek heels or loafers, and a structured handbag for a sharp office look. For an evening ensemble, swap the blouse for a turtleneck and add statement jewelry. You can also mix and match—pair the blazer with jeans for a chic, casual outfit or style the trousers with a knit top for effortless sophistication.
Whether you’re an experienced sewist or eager to master tailoring techniques, the Ravenna Suit offers a rewarding project with a flawless, professional result.

Find Your Perfect Fit
Our Ravenna Suit is a fitted garment; the size guide below is based on the suggested design & wearing ease for this style. You can choose the size according to your desired finished garment measurements, blending between sizes as needed. Measure the printed patterns to make sure the dimensions are according to the desired fitting and adjust—if needed—before cutting the fabric. For best results, sew a test garment in a similar fabric to adjust your pattern.
Note: If using non-stretch fabrics, reference the approximate finished garment measurements chart to choose your size.

Lovely! Just what I was looking for.
Thank you! We are so excited you found your sewing project match! Happy Sewing 🙂
Would it be possible to let us know the size pattern that was made and fit on the model, as well as the model’s height and bust/waist/hip measurements? This would assist in making a more accurate assessment of how the pattern actually fits according to the size selected. (Of course, I would still make a mock-up, but this would help as a starting point when selecting a size for fit, ease, etc..) Thank you.
Of course! The model is wearing a size 04. She is 5’11” tall. Her measurements require a blended pattern between sizes 02-04. (The pattern was based from a size 04 with about 3 inches of ease for the blazer bust and about 1 inches in the waist for the pants and 3 inches for the hips.) Utilize the size charts to compare the body measurements to the finished garment measurements in order to obtain the ease for each size. We wish you a happy sewing experience for your mock-up! We hope to see your version of the Ravenna Suit in the near future 🙂
Would it be possible to know the height and bust/waist/hip measurements of the model and the size of the pattern that was used to make this pattern? This would assist in gauging the amount of ease and how it actually fits and looks. (Of course, I would still make a mock-up, but this would help as a starting point to ascertain which size to select, and thus eliminate more “guess work” when selecting a size as the starting point.) Thank you.
