From bold to neutral colors, barely-there nothing to head-to-toe duds, and relaxed clothing to party pants. Hop on this fashion train and be prepared for a unique ride.
Spots
A refresh on polka dot prints: Spots. Spots for resort ‘22 came in colors across the board but remained in a common formation and size. Spots aren’t just animal print, and I know I’m certainly excited to sport spots whether it’s by casual or formal means.
Color Trends: Neutral & Rainbow
The fashion extremes carried into the color category for resort ‘22. Colors varied from subtle to very bold. Neutrals continue to make their presence known, but this upcoming season there’s a bold new competitor. Rainbow fabrics are taking center stage with little room left for sharing. Knits in rainbow varieties are extremely popular and take on any shape imaginable.
Mariner Stripes
Stripes in exaggerated blocks of color in nautical colors are the stripes of the resort season. Find these stripes on casual t-shirts, dresses, pullovers, turtlenecks, etc. Stripes for transitional dressing are an easy way to go from warm to cool weather.
Colorful Suiting
Suiting continues to be a popular fashion choice among the runways. The current wave of suiting includes colorful solid options like lilac, yellow, and green. Unlike in past seasons, the cuts are a bit more slim cut and less oversized. Strong shoulders are still in as well as high-waisted trousers and more longline blazer cuts.
Although the resort season has always been one of the strangest—with a wide range of choices, the upcoming resort season didn’t stray from the norm but instead remained widely diverse as usual.
