As a young designer, staying on trend and within budget can sometimes get a little tricky. Fortunately, I was able to find quite a few fabrics at Mood that were suitable for next season without breaking the bank!
A romantic thread runs throughout the Spring/Summer trend forecast, Common Ground, with florals playing a key role. Here are a few of my favorite looks from designers who have used forest flora as inspiration.
Left: Christian Dior Spring 2018 couture
Middle: Naeem Khan Fall 2018 ready-to-wear collection
Right: Michael Kors Fall 2018 ready-to-wear collection
If you too are a fan of the “foresty” floral trend, you may want to get your hands on this Metallic Green Fancy Floral Embroidered Tulle. The great thing about this fabric is that it layers perfectly with this Italian Dark Citron Stretch Polyester Charmeuse.
Being able to layer fabrics allows you to choose which areas of your garment you want to emphasize! A great example of that would be this bodice and skirt combo.
The cowl draped back layered over the embroidered tulle is a fantastic focal point in this ensemble.
Model: Sarah Carroll | Shirt: Dominique Alyse | Skirt: Dominique Alyse | Shoes: Charlotte Russe
Estimated Yardage:
- 1-yard Metallic Green Fancy Floral Embroidered Tulle
- 3-yards Italian Dark Citron Stretch Polyester Charmeuse
The best thing about both of these fabrics is that they are reorderable! If you are unable to purchase today, be sure to sign up for our sold out notifications list to be alerted when either is back in stock!
