The Blazer Dress trend is here to stay for the foreseeable future, but as temperatures rise, it can be a bit tricky to comfortably fit it into your summer wardrobe. Luckily, our Setaria Dress free sewing pattern can be altered fairly easily! In the past, we’ve shown you how to make your long sleeves button-up instead, but how cute would short sleeves in a metallic brocade be for a summer cocktail party? Read on to see how quickly you can transform your free pattern!
For full pattern instructions, please visit the original post here. All seam allowances are 1/2″ unless otherwise stated. See chart below for sizing specifications. Note, this specific pattern is available up to a size 30.
For this redux, you hardly need any pattern alteration skills. All I did this time around was skip the pockets, which reduced a little bit of bulk around the hips; and I also shortened the sleeves to about 8″ finished. Be sure to include an extra half inch of seam allowance if you try out this redux as well!
