So often I need a last minute look for an event and unfortunately, I’m one of those people that always say “I have nothing to wear” which I know sounds ridiculous considering I make on average 12-15 pieces per month. But there’s something gratifying about a dress you make a few hours before you run out the door. This quick and easy wrap dress was one of the moments. It was made using this gorgeous satin from moodfabrics.com the color states it’s brown, but it’s definitely a copper/rust color. Easy to cut and sew, not so easy to iron but nonetheless a beautiful color.
The pattern used for this dress is downloadable Burdastyle 06/2011 #121A with the following alterations:
-Add 12″ to the hem length
-Add 3 gathered pleats to the right front pattern piece
-Added a 1″ band using the wrong side of the fabric
-Added a 95″x 2″ belt
