How To Sew The Chrysanthemum Table Setting – Placemats
Step 1
Pin both layers of the placemat together with right sides facing each other. Sew 1/2″ seam allowance around the placemat, making sure to leave a 2″ wide opening.
Step 3
Turn the fabric right side out by pulling it out through the 2″ opening.
Step 4
Fold the raw edges in and top stitch around the edge to finish the placemat.
How To Sew The Chrysanthemum Table Setting – Table Runner
Step 1
To sew mitered corners, first press 1/4″ seam allowance all around the table runner.
Step 2
Fold and press an additional 1″ seam allowance, creating 1 ¼” SA in total.
Step 3
Fold the corners back to the opposite side and mark a vertical line down where the 1″ SA ends.
Step 4
Sew a straight stitch down the marked line and trim the seam allowance from the corners.
Step 5
Turn the corners out to the right side and sew around the edges of the seam allowance.
How To Sew The Chrysanthemum Table Setting – Napkins
Step 1
Press 1/4″ seam allowance all around the napkin.
Step 2
Fold an additional 1″ to the seam allowance, creating 1 ¼” SA in total.
