How To Sew The Cirrus Romper Free Sewing Pattern:
Step 1
Sew the front shorts at center front with 1/2″ seam allowance for the main fabric and the lining fabric.
Step 2
Sew the back shorts at center back with 1/2″ seam allowance for the main fabric and the lining fabric.
Step 3
Sew front and back together at the side seams with 1/2″ SA for the main fabric and the lining fabric.
Step 4
Sew the front and back together at inseam with 1/2″ SA for the main fabric and the lining fabric.
Step 5
Sew 1/4″ rolled hem for the main fabric and the lining fabric.
Step 6
Bring the main shorts over the lining shorts and sew them together at the waist with 1/4″ seam allowance.
Step 7
Sew the main fabric waistband over the lining waistband with 1/4″ SA all around.
Step 8
Sew the ends of the waistband right sides together with 1/2″ SA.
Step 9
To shirr the waistband, create multiple rows of stitches 1/4″ apart, using elastic thread in the bobbin and regular thread at the top.
Step 10
Sew the top front lining to the top back lining at the shoulder seams with 1/2″ SA for both sides.
Step 11
Sew top front center and top back center at the shoulder seams with 1/2″ SA for both sides of the main fabric.
Step 12
Sew top front side and top back side at the shoulder seams with 1/2″ SA for both sides of the main fabric.
Step 13
Create a basting stitch on one side of the sleeve ruffle and sew the lace trim to the other side.
Step 14
Create gathers to the sleeve ruffle by pulling the thread on the side with the basting stitch.
Step 15
Pin and sew the sleeve ruffle sandwiched in between the top center and top side pieces.
Step 16
Sew the top lining to the top main fabric around the armhole, right sides together.
Step 17
Under stitch the lining to the seam allowance to get a clean finish at the armholes.
Step 18
Pin and sew the lace trim along center front, using the other side with the straight edge.
Step 19
Sew the side seams closed with 1/2″ SA right sides together.
Step 20
Use a zig-zag stitch to join both sides together with the lace trim, sewing 7″ up from center front and 2″ up from center back.
Step 21
Pin the waistband to the top and sew 1/2″ seam allowance all around.
Step 22
Pin the completed shorts to the bottom of the waistband and sew 1/2″ seam allowance all around.
Step 23
Fold the drawstrings right sides together and sew 1/4″ along the edge. Use a loop turner to flip the straps right side out.
Step 24
Place the straps on each side of the back, measuring 3″ down from the shoulder seams, and sew them to the inside of the fabric.

Can I use a stretch rayon?
Yes, stretch rayon will also work for this pattern.

Hi all! On May 27, I bought fabric and planned to sew just wide trousers. But on May 28 I saw this wonderful model and fell in love with her. As a result, I sewed a jumpsuit with long pants and internal pockets. Thanks for the wonderful idea!!
