How To Sew The Harper Plisse Dress Free Sewing Pattern:
*Use a 1/2″ seam allowance for all seams unless otherwise specified.
Step one – Sew front and back together at the side seams.
Step two – Sew front and back together at the shoulder seams.
Step three – Sew the inseam of the sleeve, then gather the bottom edge with a basting stitch.
Step four – Sew the inseam of the cuff, then fold at the fold line.
Step five – Sew the cuff around the gathered sleeve with the raw edges lined up.
Step six – Sew a basting stitch across the sleeve cap, then slightly gather to set in the sleeve around the armhole.
Step seven – Sew front and back of the skirt together at the side seams.
Step eight – Sew the bodice and the skirt together around the waistline.
Step nine – Sew the zipper at center back and hem the neckline.
Step ten – Finish the raw edges by either using pinking shears, an overlock stitch, or bias tape.

How To Alter The Hana Dress Free Sewing Pattern:
Please note: Cut out the Hana Dress Sewing Pattern on the bias for optimal fit!
Step one – Place the front of the Hana pattern over pattern paper, then mark a line going down the side that is cut on fold.
Step two – Make a line going out from the side seam to add flare.
Step three – Starting from the waistline, mark a diagonal line to intersect the line of the side seam.
Step four – Make a horizontal line to meet both points at the bottom edge.
Step five – Use a French ruler to curve out the bottom towards the side seam. Once you are done, repeat these steps for the back pattern.
How To Sew The Altered Hana Dress:
Please note: Cut out the Hana Dress Sewing Pattern on the bias for optimal fit!
Step one – Sew front and back together at the side seams.
Step two – Fold the straps and sew along the raw edges. Use a loop turner to turn the straps outward.
Step three – Sew the front facing to the front with the straps sandwiched down in between.
Step four – Hem the back neckline and sew with the straps in place. Finish the dress by hemming along the bottom edge.
