How to Sew The Mulberry Blouse Free Sewing Pattern:
*Use a 1/2″ seam allowance for all seams unless otherwise specified.
The instructions provided are designed to guide you through sewing the main fabric and the lining fabric simultaneously.
Step one – Pin the darts and sew the pleats on the front blouse.
Step two – Join front and back together to sew at the side seams.
Step three – Sew front and back together at the shoulder seams.
Step four – Pin and sew the sleeves at the inseam.
Step five – Pin and sew the epaulette shoulder strap pieces, then trim the seam allowance and turn it outward.
Step six – Mark the buttonhole placement and sew with a buttonhole-foot attachment on your machine.
Step seven – Set in the sleeve and make sure to sandwich the epaulette shoulder strap in the self fabric.
Step eight – Join the self and the lining together to sew along the neckline. Under stitch the lining to the seam allowance.
Step nine – Hand tack the shoulder pads to the lining so that they are sandwiched in between the self and lining.
Step ten – Pin and sew the sleeve opening of the self and the lining. Make sure to align your underarm seam.
Step eleven – Right sides together, pin the self and the lining together to sew across the bottom edge.
Step twelve – Fold in the seam allowance on each side of center back with the separating zipper sandwiched in between the layers, then top stitch the zipper.
Step thirteen – Sew the buttons onto the shoulders.
How to Sew The Sycamore Pencil Skirt Free Sewing Pattern:
*Use a 1/2″ seam allowance for all seams unless otherwise specified.
The instructions provided are designed to guide you through sewing the main fabric and the lining fabric simultaneously.
Step one – Pin and sew the darts on the front of the skirt.
Step two – Pin and sew the darts on the back of the skirt..
Step three – Join front and back together to sew at the side seams.
Step four – Place the waistband facing down between the self and the lining, then sew across the waistline.
Step five – Pin and sew the self to the lining along the bottom edge.
Step six – Pin and sew the zipper at the ½” seam allowance of the self fabric only.
Step seven – To complete the skirt, fold the ½” seam allowance of the lining back and blind stitch to the zipper tape.
