Without further adieu here are some comfy, cozy, and athleisure/athletic wear options to make:
The Ursi Ensemble from the Gauze Collection
Easy to wear can still be cute and with the Ursi Ensemble you can have it all. This set has flared bottoms with an elasticated waist and a top with a button front, collar, and tie detail at the hemline. You can omit the tie from our free pattern to simplify this look.
Fabric suggestions:
The Lavender Tee from the Gauze Collection
Make the Lavender Tee into your new favorite top or make several because with a basic this good your cup will runneth over. Adjust the length to your liking, play with the scoop of the neckline, the shoulder seam, and the sleeve length. Add a print fabric or a bit of lace trim to really up the ante.
Fabric Suggestions:
Staying indoors means that you get to control the temperature, so anything goes. The Apricot Ensemble is every bit stylish and comfy. Snap the perfect cozy day pic and add your coffee and fashion magazine into the frame for the perfect shot. This pattern includes a lace-up detail that can be removed for easier construction. Add a few inches of length to the top or bottoms for a more full coverage look.
Fabric Suggestions:
Style the Hyssop Cardigan any way that you please. It can be a warm-up piece before your workout commences, a layering cozy piece during lounging, or even a short robe. Alter the pattern by adding belt loops and a belt and extend the pattern length to easily transform it into a robe. Play with different fabrics to switch up the application.

Take the Hyssop suggestions and turn it up a notch. Make this to wear when you wanna get ready for yourself or maybe you wanna make a 4-course dinner in it. Add ruffles or lace accents to sweeten up the look and remove the pockets from our free pattern to simplify it or better suit your fabric.

I stand by the matre that there’s no need to fix a good thing and the Brya Pants redux is a prime example of that. Made with french terry fabric featuring a wide waistband, and cuffs, with roomy pockets and an elastic waistband- what more could you ask for in a pair of sweatpants? Easily insert a drawstring for an extra cinched waist and you’re ready to go. If this style of sweatpants does not suit you, the pattern can be adjusted to make straight or wide leg pants just omit the cuffs and hem accordingly.
Fabric Suggestions:
The Aster Pants and The Maple Culottes
Take the shape of the Aster Pants or the Maple Culottes and run with it. You see all those details? Feel free to skip ‘em. To make a comfy pair of wide leg comfy pants like either of these, omit the zipper, belt loops (The Aster Pants) and reinforced waistband. Create a wide elastic waistband instead, and keep those awesome pockets and pleats (The Aster Pants) or not for practicality and a little extra style. When choosing your fabric, opt for something with a bit of stretch to keep them extra roomy.
Fabric Suggestions:
Simple and effective with a stylish paper bag waist, the Piper Shorts have everything you need for a chill day on the couch or a productive one filled with cleaning around the house. Feel free to ditch the rolled cuffs and either or both of the pockets to make this a simpler design. Linen is pretty comfy but a fabric with a bit more give will provide even more room for moving while dancing and dusting or maybe eating a few extra snacks while you’re watching The Office shamelessly for the third time.

Staying inside doesn’t mean you have to be bland. The Callisia Cover-up gives off ultra spicy vibes. Turn it into a floor sweeping dressing gown by adding belt loops and a tie. Finish off the hem and sleeve cuffs with your trim of choice and call it a day. Sit at your makeup vanity looking and feeling lavish and lovely.

The Dogwood Ensemble is another one of our basic patterns and it can be even easier. Omit the zippers, create an elastic waistband for the bottoms and use a semi stretch fabric for an outfit that’s perfect for working, cleaning, or dancing from home. Consider altering the sleeve length to be a full-length long sleeve or even a short sleeved design and easily adjust the tailored fit of the trousers to be straight or wide legged.
Fabric Suggestions:
The Callisia Cover-Up has found its perfect match with the Rue Dress. Omit the sleeves for a sumptuous sleepwear look or keep the sleeves and opt for a more tailored fit. The beautiful wrap design is picture-worthy so don’t let the quarantine get to your head. Waltz around your space and throw on accessories, do your hair or maybe glam up your face (if that’s your speed). If you’re gonna be stuck at home in order to save the country you might as well still look fabulous. Am I right?
Fabric Suggestions:
Get a good basic design and you can conquer the world (or at least your sewing machine). Add adjustable straps for a perfect fit and move the cowl detail from the front to the back, which will eliminate the v-shaped neckline. Add trim to the design and play with the length and fit of this tank to really make it your own.

The Milla Bralette, the Thyme Bodysuit, and the the D’Arcy Bralette
I like to go the extra mile to look put together and I start with my delicates. The Milla Bralette, the Thyme bodysuit, and the D’Arcy Bralette are certainly perfect. Add tulle ruffles as accents, use velvet trim or use mesh at the hemline for a little extra oomph. These pieces are easy to use as base pieces for layering and they effortlessly transition right into the bedroom and can be worn alone for a bit of spice. Who doesn’t love options?

Ixia Leggings (Pattern Hack) and Lotus Leggings
Get active with the Ixia and/or the Lotus Leggings. Add mesh panels or pockets, or alter the pattern to be any rise or length. A ballet slipper-like tie at the pants cuff would be simple to include and is sure to add a soft and delicate touch to either of these athletic leggings.
Fabric Suggestions:
Doesn’t matter if you’re running around the house, doing yoga, or going for a jog to get some fresh air, the Almond Bodysuit features a tasteful cutout and high neck that keeps everything in place. Bodysuits are great for daily life but especially great for working out because they don’t rise up. Add mesh to the back of the cutout for a bit of extra fun or leave it as is since it’s already workout ready.
Fabric Suggestions:
This pattern is perfect for lounging around or for pairing with a sports bra during a sweat sesh. Keep this redux as is, or play with the length and fit of the bodice and sleeves to make it as fitted or cropped as you want. The semi-wide neckline would also look great with a bit of a v-shaped alteration.
Fabric Suggestions:
The Gordonia Hoodie is workout ready- It’s equipped with a hood and high low length. Pair with your favorite athletic tank or sports bra for extra style and with minimal effort.

I am so pleased that you have sent out comfortable patterns of res to sew and wear while we are quarantined. I am sending them to my costuming class so they will keep their skills sharp.
This is so generous and creative. Thank you., Mood!
Thank you so much for your generosity! Can’t wait to start sewing!
Thank you for such beautiful patterns! And it’s nice to see that the larger sizes are included.
The Ursi ensembe in silk is stuunning! Dying to make that. I’m a bit confused as to why the shopping list here asks for a yard of fabric less than the dedicated blogpost? Am I missing something here?
Thank you so much for publishing these, I’m in love with the patterns, especially the size inclusivity!
Much Love!
Hi Helcolina! This one was a smaller size than the original and I wasn’t working with a directional fabric this time so I was able to squeeze it in on less fabric. 🙂
So very happy I found your website.
I am soo excited to stst sewing.
Thank you!
