Earth tones are blooming this year, as well as more environmentally friendly fabrics, like Mood’s newest line of vegan fabrics! From a balayage of beiges to an assortment of reds, earth tones are anything but boring. These rich, neutral tones pair well with anything and are perfect for transitioning between the seasons. Let’s take a look at the earth tones taking the world by storm.
Brown is the perfect base color, it pairs with almost every other color and transitions beautifully. A.W.A.K.E.’s soft brown dress features some lovely line work, and while Vanessa Bruno’s would pair beautifully with an emerald cardigan. Alexandre Vauthier and Maticevski utilize pleather for a melted chocolate aesthetic, while Veronique Leroy’s sheer suit looks more like a rich espresso.
Bring it on with brown:
Green is the rich color of the forest, and it’s sprouting up along the runway. Givenchy showed an absolutely stunning suit in deep green, while Gucci went for a corduroy suit. Kwaidan Editions and Vika Gazinskaya both went for some lovely layering pieces, and Wunderkind featured a dress with some expertly placed cutouts.
Go for it with green:
The color of a fresh peach just bitten is the perfect earthy pink. Carmen March creates a casual piece with some regal ruffles, while Giambattista Valli and Rochas showed lovely eveningwear in peach, and Johanna Ortiz’z stunning blouse features out-of-this-world puff sleeves.
Pick out these peaches:
Rust red blends red and brown to create a bright, yet natural color. Apiece Apart shoot for a very casual cabin style, while Karen Walker shows a lovely rust skirt. Jacquemus and Nehera feature a rust with a little more brown in it, and Seis Marjan relies on a redder hue.
Create with rust red:
Sky blue is soft and shocking, perfect as an accent or the main color! Alessandra Rich’s stunning evening gown sparkles like the morning sky, and Balenciaga’s velvet dress had its own shine. Dice Kayak and Kitx both showed suits, while Samuji featured a lovely pair of trousers.
Shoot for the stars with sky blue:
