Fringe is a popular trim, but this season it’s a popular fabric. Designers created entire garments out out of fringe, so there was a lot of movement on the runway this season. Let’s take a look at the fabulous fringe of Spring 2018 Ready-to-Wear.
Dresses
Fringe dresses were popular this season. Vionnet’s dress was simply a body suit with fringe attachments, while Monique Lhullier and Marchesa Notte added trim to long dresses. Martin Grant’s cocktail dress is the focus of any party, while Halpern’s blue dress is a real show stopper.

Stella Jean and Marco de Vincenzo both went with short tiers for a textured skirt, while Rachel Comey utilized a longer fringe for a similar effect. Custo Barcelona’s asymmetrical skirt looks beach ready, and Monse’s long fringe is perfect for showing off some leg while leaving something to the imagination.
