The end of Paris Fashion Week means the closing of fashion month. A wild array of trends made their way down the runways across the world, the most exquisite of which walked in Paris. From rich colors to decadent details, Paris Fashion Week did not disappoint. Let’s take a look at what Paris sees for Spring 2019.
Marigold
Marigold, the rich sister of gamboge, bloomed in Paris. Carmen March’s bustier pairs beautifully with simple black trousers, while Courreges and Ellery both featured some stunning shorts. Johanna Ortiz’s lovely sundress features layers and fringe, and Joie’s A-line skirt looks perfect for a springtime stroll.

Paris designers made a statement with sequins this season. Alexandre Vauthier stuck with the 80’s aesthetic with a one-shouldered, sequined party dress, While Emanuel Ungaro and Celine went more modern. Giambattista Valli’s stunning sequined suit features a lovely lip print, and Miu Miu’s sequined blouse is both casual and classy.

Shirtdress
The shirt dress was a major garment on the runway for spring 2019. Joie features a more sophisticated silhouette than the traditional shirtdress, and Veronique Leroy and Samuji kept it casual. Kiton’s shirtdress looks perfect for transitioning from spring and summer to fall, while Leonard Paris’ dress looks ideal for warm spring evenings.

Thanks for sharing your insights and pix, Molly. I am loving the trench coat trend. It’s an extension of the duster that is so popular now. Love the idea of a lavender trench coat!
Glad you enjoyed the trend report! Wouldn’t a lavender trench be lovely? That water-resistant twill was the first thing I thought of when I saw this trend!
