As the final fashion show of Paris Fashion Week comes to a close, and we say goodbye to another exquisite fashion month, it’s time to  analyze the styles and trends that topped the charts. From sequins to sunshine, doodles to designs, Paris kept us on the edge of our seats. Let’s take a look at the top trends from PFW.

Bohemian

Boho chic was all the rage this season, with designers dressing down their models and bringing back the peasant style. A.P.C.’s peasant dress with denim vest is perfect for perusing the flower market, while Giambattista Valli’s floral dress was made for folk dancing. Take the peasant style around town with Vanessa Bruno’s gamboge peasant blouse, and Kitx’s macrame skirt and blouse are perfect for exploring a quaint town in the south of France. Chloe’s rustic dress is perfect for sitting around a campfire, roasting marshmallows and drinking tea as the fire crackles and the trees in the forest sway with the autumn breeze.

Doodles

It looks like designers have been doodling in their notebooks, and on their garments, as models marched down the runway sporting doodles and drawings that belong on the fridge. Christian Dior’s doodle t-shirt is paired beautifully with dragon shorts, while Joie’s bananas shirt is perfect for writing poetry in a corner cafe. Get close to nature in a tunic like Junya Watanabe’s, or go roller skating in Mira Mikati’s matching set. Tsumori Chisato’s doodle dress and hat is perfect for going to the farmer’s market, taste testing homemade honey as the scent of fresh produce and home-cooked meals wafts over to you on a gentle breeze.

Fabric Mixing

Designers got twisted when it came to fabrics this season. Alexander McQueen’s long lingerie piece was forged from sheer and opaque fabrics, while Beautiful People merged a dress with a trench coat. Chanel’s tweed and denim set are perfect for going to a garden party, while Filles a Papa’s leather and denim jeans are ready for the weekend. Sacai’s mismatched camo is ideal for camping, or even glamping!

Landscape

Designers have ran to the hills, and come back with beautiful pieces that depict images of rolling water and vibrant forests. Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood designed the perfect dress for going to the opera, while Balenciaga’s landscape pants were meant for touring the city. Filles a Papa combines LA style with LA scenery in the perfect party dress, and PAul & Joe’s condo shirt is ideal for relaxing on the beach. Undercover designed two dresses, reminiscent of 1950’s dresses with a twinge of horror and mystery.

Sequin Design

Sequins may stand out alone, but these designers wanted more. Dries Van Noten created a bomber made for the stars, while Each x Other’s flame sequins dress is perfect for a night of disco inferno. Leonard Paris’ sequin leisure suit is perfect for relaxing at a resort, while Manish Arora’s chevron sequined bomber was made for going out on the town. Saint Laurent’s sequined bomber looks ideal for touring castles in Ireland.

Sunshine Yellow

Designers made this season bright and bold, with sunshine yellow marching down the runway. Akris’ yellow dress and vest are perfect for going to a tennis match, while Balenciaga’s yellow dress is perfect for bringing a little light to the office. Christian Dior’s bright yellow, sequined dress is perfect dancing the night away, and Mugler’s loose top fits right in sat a dinner party. Valentin Yudashkin’s skirt and bandeau in yellow are perfect for checking out the new tapas bar that opened down the street..
