Prints make a season, and this season will be known for far away florals and a lot of animal print. Let’s take a look at what else designers were working with this upcoming Spring 2019 season.
Animal Print
Animal print was a Spring 2019 favorite on the runway. A Peace Treaty, A.P.C., and Rejina Pyo all utilize cheetah print, while Adam Lippes and Rebecca Taylor show leopard print.

Faraway Floral
Designers are clearly in need of a vacation since so many floral prints were from faraway places. A Peace Treaty and A.L.C. went with a tropical style, while Whistles went for a more orchid-centric style. Marissa Webb’s green and red dress looks like anything but Christmas, and A.P.C.’s jacket is perfect for a tropical rainstorm.
Feel these faraway florals at home:
Polka Dot
Polka dots were anything but passe this season. Audra and A.P.C. both showed white polka dots on a colorful background, while A Detacher showed a lovely green polka dot on a white background. Eric Schlosberg featured a seventies style matching set with black polka dots on a blue background, and Escada featured a lovely red polka dot on a white background.

Print Mixing
Print mixing had continued to be popular this season. Ace & Jig and Zimmerman went loud with their prints, while Warm was a little softer. A Peace Treaty uses the same pattern in different colors, and A Detacher paired plaid and printed letters.

Wild Prints
Although the usual term is conversational, these prints are so loud they need a new word; Wild prints. Adam Lippes featured some photoshopped floral, and Acne Studios utilized a landscape print. A.P.C. and A Peace Treaty showed geometric prints with loud colors, and A.F. Vandevorst created a floral that looked as if it had been drawn on.
Wild out with these prints:
What print will you be wearing this Spring? I’ll be decked out in those wild prints.
