You may be wanting to get ahead, skip through the cold winter and get some insight on what styles and colors to break out for the upcoming season. From feathery maxi dresses to stretchy jumpsuits, Paris Fashion Week displayed dozens of collections showcasing their exqusite designs that can give you the inspo you may be looking for. Designers like Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) presented the hottest looks, such as a velour bodysuit, while Dior gave us flowy maxi dresses galore. Luckily, it is never too early to start looking and Mood has all the details to help you with your season transition. These Spring 2022 trends will have you wanting your hands on all of them.
Bows
Bows may remind you of glam rock from the ‘80s, but they are forever an iconic statement. Whether you want to girl up your outfit or prep up your style, bows are that accessory that can accentuate your outfit. These bouncy satin and taffeta bows are seen from fashion houses like Giambattista Valli and Viktor and Rolf Collection. Saturated colors and vibrant hues are used and can be paired with a top or dress. When in doubt, throw on a bow!

Feathers
Feathers made a huge appearance during the flapper era and just made its way back and I am here for it! The Chanel Spring 2022 couture collection featured a tweed pencil pocket dress with blue feathery arms that is a duo of elegance and fun. And let’s not forget about Alexandre Vauthier’s jet black velvet puff sleeve mini dress with its feathery flounce. There are no rules when it comes to this fashion statement. You can wear them on the bottom, wear them on the top or dress them from head to toe.

Black and White
Can’t decide if you want to dress in all black for the day or all white? How about both! Black and white looks are hitting the runway from collections like Schiaparelli and Jean Paul Gaultier. Wearing black as a bottom or white on the top, it really is what you make of it. The amazing 3D sailor stripe dress in a braided trim by Jean Paul Gaultier portrays a perfect blend of the monochrome colors. The Schiaparelli black felt hood, off white felt top and velvet bottom piece is a well put together mix and match of the two colors. I can’t see black and white ever going out of style!

Maxi
In the 1960s, Oscar de la Renta designed the first maxi dress, which has now become a necessary piece in every girl’s wardrobe. The great thing about maxis is that anyone can pull them off. Maxi dresses don’t have to be just an evening wear look; you can wear them casually, during the day and with a pair of sneakers. If you know Dior, you will know that they do not come to play when it comes to all things feminine gowns, dresses and skirts. Yves Saint Laurent and Valentino also dropped maxi gowns during Fashion Week like a pleated chiffon top with a silk bottom and a hot pink charmeuse gown by Valentino.

Tights, Bodysuits & Jumpsuits
Tights and bodysuits and jumpsuits, oh my! Yves Saint Laurent brought us early 2000s vibes with velour tights mixed with 80s silk jumpsuits. Bodysuits can easily be worn with a pair of tights or with a baggy pair of wide leg jeans. They can be dressed up or down, whether you want to wear it for work or just to go out. Not only will you look amazing in these, but you will feel the most comfortable in them too!

Now these are some trends I need to hop onto! All black and white and glamorous feathers are for sure the trends of the season.
