Fashion is all about the fabrics, and this London Fashion Week was filled with fabrics of all forms. From eyelet to tulle, London had it all. Let’s take a look at the top fabrics from London Fashion Week.
Crochet
This stylin’ fabric of the seventies made its way back to the runway, with designers like Ashish creating entire ensembles out of it. Mary Kantrantzou went for an intricate design in green, while Christopher Kane and Joseph went for a simpler style. Julian Macdonald expertly wove the crochet to feature cut outs, giving just a flash of skin.

Eyelet
Although eyelet tends to have a sweet summer feel, designers utilized it for this spring season. Antonio Berardi and Christopher Kane showed some skin with the peek-a-boo pattern that eyelet has, while Mary Kantrantzou made sure to cover up. Simone Rocha bunched up this lightweight fabric to form a bulky dress, and Ashish created a modest garment using an immodest fabric.

Lamé
Lamé is anything but lame, with shiny exterior that even the stars envy. Emporio Armani channeled the 80’s with lamé pants, while Rejina Pyo and Ralph & Russo went with 80’s style dresses. J.W. Anderson lined a knit dress with lamé for an interesting juxtaposition, while Nicopanda went lamé all over a for a futuristic style.
