When spring hits, the color wheel expands, and playful colors demand our attention. We lose darker colors and gravitate towards more fun and exciting ones. This upcoming season is full of plenty of different trending colors worth getting excited about! Coming up are the colors to look forward to this spring!
What to Expect
Bold prints of psychedelic and geometric varieties take center stage in bold colorways from bright yellow, orange, pink, and more. Another trend for making these bold colors come to life is by color-blocking, which is taking on a DIY trend of its own where you mix and match contrasting colors to create looks. Expect head-to-toe looks in mega saturated and pastel looks. Many trending colors for spring have two polar opposite shade offerings.
Lilac
Destined to be a popular color this year, lilac is in line with the Pantone color of the year, very peri. Lilac varies slightly from very peri, as it has a gray undertone. While I boasted that the trending colors for spring were quite bold and vibrant, this is an understandable exception. Besides, it is impossible to wear bright colors 24/7 before getting bored.
Yellow
Add a little extra tweet to your wardrobe with the help of canary yellow. It has a bit of a pastel look, making it a bit softer. Another shade of yellow popular this spring is the vibrant counterpart—Daffodil. It’s been dotted into recent celebrity fashion and the runways at London Fashion week in 2021 to give heed to its rise in popularity.
Pink
In the same way that yellow has a bright and a light color choice, pink is the same. Starting off with a pale and subtle shade, Gossamer Pink is sophisticated, and innuendo lives up to its name—a suggestively hot pink color full of energy. This brighter shade of pink has been on the rise for a few seasons, so grab out the spring totes and get it back into your rotation ASAP.
Orange
With a tendency to veer towards a brighter hue, the boldest orange around demands attention, whether it’s a conscious decision or not. It’s an instant mood booster, and the brighter the color, the better. If color-blocking is for you, then bright orange is a great place to start.
Green
From pastels to punchy shades and everything in between, the color green has long represented wealth and prosperity–By adding it to your clothing rotation, you’ll exude confidence. It’s transeasonal and popular in more than just one shade. Whether you’re sporting bright emerald green, neon green, or perhaps a less intimidating offering, you are sure to pop.
Don’t be afraid to pull out all the color; it’ll make the world a brighter place and will likely boost your mood, too. Embrace different colors and sport them single-handedly from head-to-toe or mix-n-match several shades or colors into one outfit.

As a “summer” very bright colors just don’t work for me. I look for cool (as opposed to warm) pastels for spring & summer.
