A gauze-like material, Cotton Cheesecloth differs from true gauze in that it is a plain weave, lacking the interlocking weft threads. Originally used (and named) for removing whey from cheese curds, cheesecloth is now found in applications from printmaking to product safety testing, in addition to clothing, of course. Lightweight and breathable, cheesecloth is ideal for summer clothing and is often found in summer shirts in India and Pakistan.
