Organdy Fabric is crisp, lightweight and sheer, and has similar in characteristics to silk Organza. Pronounced twisting of the fibers used in the manufacturing process results in this delightfully moldable plain-woven textile. The distinctly crisp body of Organdy Fabric is achieved through repeated starch presses or by a permanent chemical process. As this material pleats well, it also wrinkles fairly easily but can be starched and ironed without difficulty. Used in crafting projects, curtains, garments, and different sewing patterns, Organdy Fabric easily adds a touch of classic elegance. Chlorine bleach is not advised for permanently stiff organdy.
