Cotton Print Fabric is representative of your basic t-shirt, jersey is created from knit stitches alone so all of the loops are drawn to one side of the fabric. Smooth on the face with a textured appearance on the back, this composition of purl stitches create ‘horizontal grooves’ on the backside of the fabric. Easily stretching up to 25% along the grain, Print Fabric is ideal for body conscious dresses, skirts and tops. It is recommended that jersey always be washed before sewing since all knits tend to shrink. With such a smooth surface, jersey is known for its affinity with prints.
