HOW TO CARE FOR WOOL FABRICS:
Dry-cleaning is recommended, though some wools can take hand washing. Always test a swatch first if you are going to care for your wool fabrics at home rather than using a drycleaner. Many of the fine wools Mood sells online and in-store have already been "sponged," or preshrunk, but you can preshrink your wool if necessary. Mood recommends taking your uncut wool fabric to the drycleaners and asking them to steam it for you, which will safely preshrink it more effectively than you can using home methods. These care instructions given are for Wool Fabrics in general, however, Mood Fabrics does not accept responsibility for fabrics that are incorrectly laundered/damaged by following these instructions. Customers must test a swatch before laundering any fabrics at home to avoid damaging the goods. |

And the prize for the perfect autumn recipe goes to our Italian Yellow, Orange and Brown Plaid Houndstooth Wool Coating! Gifted with a fuzzy-textured surface producing a semi-coarse hand, this transformative medium exhibits a flexible drape, overall composing a viable option for outerwear garments. Owning a plainly woven construction, its plethora of yarns, varying in color, craft a plaid with brown, mulberry, and navy vertical stripes, horizontal stripes in orange, plum, and black, and golden-yellow squares. Of a medium weight, this wool blend is superb for sewing cold-weather-friendly silhouettes; assemble dinner jackets, duster coats, fanciful blazer dresses, and more. For extra appeal, add chunky toggle closures and/or lace trimmings, even insert a contrast lining to pockets and sleeves. Completely opaque, incorporating a lining fabric will increase comfort and help prevent unraveling at the seams.
