Calf Leather Fabric

Calf Hide – produced from the hide of a young cow, calf hide is more highly prized than regular cow hides because it is a lot softer and more finely grained. These properties lend themselves well to the hides being fashioned into clothing, shoes, wallets and other accessories of extremely high quality. Calf hides are also used to produce fine parchment and vellums for archival documents and other manuscripts. Calf hides can be processed with the hair on, or scraped into smooth leather. Although many are sold in their natural colorations, they can also be dyed to suit individual preference.
