A true superhero cannot do the job without the right accessories! (I mean, just look at Batman!) Here you will find instructions and photos of some simple additions you can make to wear with the Fang Cosplay to complete the overall look.

Fabrics & materials used:
- 3 yards of Black Nylon Webbing – 1″
- 1 yard of Black Nylon Webbing – 0.75″
- 1 yard of .375″ Black Elastic
- .5 yard of Plum Tubular Cotton Rib Knit
- .5 yard of Black Stretch Ponte
- 6 pcs Metal D Ring – 1″
- For the full look and free pattern download please see The Fang Cosplay post.
To begin the archery cuff simply use an 8″ long by 6″ wide piece of the Plum rib knit fabric and fold it in half so that it’s 3″ wide. Next, insert 2 pieces of elastic about 5″ long with the long ends of the elastic inside the cuff, pin, then sew into place.

Next, flip the entire piece right side out so that the seams are on the inside and fold one end over and match the seams. Then sew all around leaving a small opening to flip the piece back out.

Now, close the opening using a slip stitch.

Finally, create the finger pieces by making a small half oval (about 1.5″ long) out of the Black Stretch Ponte and then sewing it closed like so. Once the seam has been made you can trim the excess fabric so that it’s not bulky when worn.

To complete this item, attach the ends of the elastic to the finger pieces.

Now it’s time to work on the harness belt! Begin by measuring the 1″ webbing on your waist and cutting it about 6 or 7″ longer than your waist measurement. On one side of the piece you just cut, slip on 2 D rings, fold and sew the loop closed.

Now, with the belt on, take your .75″ webbing and pin it where you want it to go on the belt and cut it to the desired length.

Sew the vertical pieces onto the belt like so.

Finish the bottom of the vertical strap with a loop big enough to slide the 1″ webbing through. Finally, again using the 1″ webbing, measure around your thighs and repeat the first steps to create smaller adjustable belts for your thighs.

Done. So simple! Don’t forget to download The Fang Cosplay free pattern to make this complete look. Enjoy!

This Cosplay is amazing!
I really like the gloves! What would be really awesome is if the finger pieces could be made of a leather or leather-like material. That way it could actually be used as archery equipment. What do you think?
Hi, Rose! Definitely love the idea, but we’re not professionals when it comes to making archery equipment, so I can’t say for sure. 🙂
Lee,
I know that a leather-like material would work for archery, I just want to know if it would work with the pattern. I’m sorry I wasn’t very clear.
Ohh, gotcha!! Yes, I think it’d work – but if you’re using a thicker leather, it may be best to hand sew it with a heavy-duty thread. 🙂
