Other competitors like NYC are losing traction caused by the US-China trade war, where Paris is gaining traction due to Brexit (the withdrawal of the UK from EU and European atomic energy companies, which took place at the end of January this year.
Two huge Paris-based conglomerates are also on the rise, LVMH and Kering. With the influence of these two fashion groups, Paris is steadily anchored and equipped with the glamour it needs to be on top of the pyramid. Throughout history, other fashion cities fluctuate while Paris stays steady and solid. LVMH accounts for nearly half of the top sales of 100 top luxury companies, and that alone speaks volumes.
The other cities of the world certainly have a charm of their own, but Paris, as it is now, is rooted and grounded in success from a creative and a business perspective.
