Hook & Eye Tape is simple and secure, perfect for fastening garments. It is made up of a metal hook made of flattened wire and an eyelet of the same material. The first form of the hook-and-eye fastener came from 14th century England, where they were referred to as crochet and loop. In the late 17th century, hook-and-eye closures were used to keep breeches closed. They were made by hand until Redditch, England became the first town to manufacture them. Hook & Eye Tape is ideal for fastening brassieres or the back of a high necked blouse.
