A variation of the rib knit, Interlock knit has two rows of stitches instead of the traditional purl and knit ridges. Many times, interlock knit is thought of as having two layers, however the rows of stitches are one behind the other in a single layer. Thicker and more stable than a standard jersey, Interlock knit retains its shape and is smooth on each side. This material is popular for home sewing as its edges do not curl and it takes print well.
