Greeting one with a soft hand, this plentiful medium denotes quite the tactile experience: Produced from innumerable hand-wound bobbins, creating Dentelle lace is a slow process that yields a fluid drape and luxurious result. Here, half-and-whole stitches give the textile depth, also fashioning a peek-a-boo effect while rendering complex floral motifs. After soaking in a dye bath of brilliant emerald-green, the olive cording, scalloped and woven atop the lace, provides a toothy outline to the designs. Resistant to stretching and fading in the sun, its construction is one meant to last, upholding its original color!
